BIODYNAMIC ESCHSCHOLZIA

PROPERTIES: protective, soothing, calming.
Originally from California, it has been widespread in Europe since the beginning of the 19th century, thanks to German botanist Von Eschscholtz, from whom the plant took its name. In the language of flowers and plants “eschscholzia” symbolises wealth and success. Plant grown in Ortofficina (Oway’s very own biodynamic farm!) and/or by certified local producers.

BIODYNAMIC CENTAUREA

PROPERTIES: conditioning, emollient, stimulating.
It grows throughout Italy from the mountainous to the Mediterranean regions. According to legend, it was discovered for the first time by the mythogical centaur Chiron, who used to to heal a wound caused by an arrow from Hercules, with apparently extraordinary results. Plant grown in Ortofficina (Oway's very own biodynamic farm!) and/or by certified local producers.

ETHICAL MARULA OIL

Extracted from a South African plant, Marula oil has a softening and shining effect on hair. Rich in proteins and minerals, it also acts as a strengthener. It has hydrating and restorative properties. Through the ethical purchasing of this extract we support the economy of small villages of South Africa.

The Handle & Defend range, one of four souls within Oway's offering of styling products, was designed for the preparation stage of styling to create ease of handling and to protect the hair from heat, damage and environmental elements. Each soul was created with an Upcycled Ingredient, adopting valuable local food waste destined for landfill as a resource to be celebrated.

Olive Pits Oil sourced from food industry waste suppled by certified producers in Romagna, Italy (the home country of Oway) is utilised in the Handle & Defend range. Known for their antioxidant content, which may promote heart health, reduce inflammation and provide protection against oxidative stress.
